The theme for Veterans Day 2024 is “A Legacy of Loyalty and Service”, and this yr’s profitable poster was designed by Myisha Godette, a retired, disabled Military Veteran from Queens, New York.
Myisha’s design was pushed by a need to symbolize all who’ve served. “As a Veteran, I’ve typically felt underrepresented, prompting me to contemplate how finest to include inclusivity and the essence of loyalty and repair,” she mentioned. “Finally, I selected to represent the shared expertise of service members—previous, current, and future—with components just like the American Flag, navy “canine tags,” and the enduring energy of Veterans, embodied by a stable, darkish concrete background in my design.”
